Les Safrans

The house

A lived-in house, not a hotel

Les Safrans is, above all, a family house in Tavel that we love to share.

In Tavel, a little away from the centre, between the vines of France's foremost rosé and the garrigue, our house opens two guest rooms to travellers seeking calm and authenticity (a third room is available when you book the whole house). People come for the evening quiet, the cool of the garden and the scent of the olive trees.

Why “Les Safrans”?
Saffron isn't just the colour of a sunset: it's a rare spice, grown in the Gard since Roman times, harvested flower by flower at the dawn of autumn. Patience, care, rarity — these are the values we like to put into welcoming you. And its colour, the orange-gold of the South, is everywhere here.

We're not a standardised establishment. You share a little of our daily life: the hens at the bottom of the garden, the vegetable patch, the cats sleeping in the sun. It's precisely this simplicity that our guests love.

A taste for the real

Eggs from our hens, vegetables from the garden, homemade jams. Breakfast is made with what the garden gives.

Peace and quiet

A house in Tavel, a little away from the centre, far from the bustle, yet fifteen minutes from Avignon.
